We the People: Know Your Rights Workshop and Art Build

  • Temperance Alley Garden 1931 13th Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20009 United States (map)

Join us as we come together in community to resist the federal takeover of DC. The people of DC are joyful, powerful, and we have the right to self-governance.

This gathering will begin with some dedicated space to come together in reflection, connection, and solidarity. We’ll move into a “Know Your Rights” workshop for encounters with law enforcement and then into an Art Build where we’ll create event banners, posters and window signs to amplify our voices. Local community groups will be tabling throughout the event to offer ways to stay involved in the fight for our city.

Together, we’ll share knowledge, creativity, and solidarity as we defend our right to shape DC’s future.

4:00-4:45pm Communal Grounding and Check-In
4:45-5:15pm Know Your Rights Workshop
5:15-6:00pm Art Built and Community Tabling

We’ll have some materials provided for the Art Build, but would appreciate anything additional you can bring (cardboard, paper, paint).
