Join us for a casual, hands-on planning session to help shape the future of Temperance Alley Sanctuary, a vacant lot next to the main garden that we’re working together to rewild.

No prior gardening or ecology experience is needed. Come curious, bring your ideas, and help shape how this small piece of DC can support our ecological and climate resilience. 

In this session, we’ll:

🌱 Choose native plants for October’s community planting
💧 Explore rainwater retention and hydrology to help restore the plot’s relationship with water
🌿 Learn how to properly transplant native plants and take some home
🗺️ Share ideas and help shape the design of the sanctuary
🤝 Connect with neighbors and practice community-based ecological stewardship
