Rituals of Rest

  • Temperance Alley Garden 1931 13th Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20009 United States (map)

Please RSVP if you can make it!

Let’s gather to discuss personal and shared practices of rest. For me, the Garden is a holy place of rest—a place where I can unwind, breathe deeply, and be in community. Similarly, I find rest and joy in the Jewish rituals of Shabbat, which inspired this gathering :)

I'm excited to learn about your rituals, spaces, and practices of rest... what makes you feel rested?  Is rest, or are your rituals, tied to a faith, culture, hobby, or none of the above? What are some of the similarities and differences we observe across different expressions of rest? These are some of the questions we'll explore :)

We’ll have snacks, and feel free to BYO dinner.

RSVP here!
