To be in relationship with land is to know who lives there...
We will walk through the “Temperance Sanctuary” (the parcel across from TAG) and say hello by identifying the plant neighbors in the plot. After identifying and inventorying the plant neighbors, we will draw plant portraits to create an initial blueprint of the Temperance Sanctuary.
The Temperance Sanctuary is a new extension of the Temperance Alley Garden – a place to quiet down, to observe, and to cultivate reciprocity between ourselves and the land. Come join us in the visioning and stewardship of Temperance Sanctuary: as a time capsule of Indigenous history and stewardship, native food/micro forest to bring back native biodiversity, and an ecological classroom to foster and practice our stewardship. If you’re interested in any of these topics, we welcome you to join us in its design and execution!
