Please join us in celebrating the 130th anniversary of the historic pan-African victory won by King Menelik II and Queen Taytu Betul of Ethiopia. Honoring the memory of Tamrat Medhin who first began this annual celebration over 20 years ago, as well as Hari Jones.

Featuring presentations from local living-historian Marquett Awa-Milton, Griot Elder Baba-C, and spoken poetry by Ruben Robinson. At the African-American Civil War Memorial (U St & Vermont Ave). Follow the crowd to a meal at Habesha Restaurant after the program!
